Iida Nyman
Sports massage therapist
I graduated in June 2023 from the Finnish Sports Massage Institute (Suomen Urheiluhierojaopisto) as a licensed massage therapist/sports massage therapist. During my studies, we focused extensively on anatomy and knowledge of musculoskeletal disorders. We also covered a wide range of techniques for improving joint mobility, such as mobilization techniques, tractions, and Muscle Energy Techniques (MET).
Alongside my studies at SUHO, I also completed training in acupuncture, so if needed, we can use acupuncture needles during your session to help relieve your symptoms.
I am currently expanding my expertise by studying osteopathy at the Orthopedic Osteopathy Training Center in Pasila (OOKK). And since learning something new is never a waste, I’m also taking online courses on nutrition and recovery.
I have a broad background in sports, but I’ve spent the most time on the football field, having played competitively for about 10 years now. In my free time, outside of football, I enjoy doing a bit of everything — going to the gym, cycling, running, or casually playing ball games with my friends.
At SUHO, we also had the opportunity to work closely with partner sports clubs, which allowed me to gain hands-on experience working with athletes. As a result, I also have solid knowledge and understanding of various sports.
I place great importance on ensuring that my clients feel well in every aspect of their lives. Whether you come to address specific issues, seek pain relief, or simply relax, you are always welcome at my practice!
